Pros
In some departments feedback is welcomed and all management cares about is that you do your work and fly under the radar (don't create unnecessary conflict). There's not a ton of overtime - good work/life balance. Turnover is very low.
Cons
Absolutely no opportunity for advancement unless someone retires or dies and even then they hire from outside the organization. The new people bring their friends and other people get the boot. New upper-level management is less transparent and is becoming top-heavy. Cost of living increases are marginal to non-existent for non-clinical and non-management roles. There are no bonuses and no performance raises after reaching the top tier. PTO/sick time is a shared bank and accrues very slowly for the first five years. The average age of non-clinical employees is high (low age diversity). The Fairfield campus is dangerous and I don't feel safe there at times.
