Forced performance ratings. Typically it's been 10/70/20, but this year a 20/70/10 distribution was enforced. (under performing/meets expectations/exceeds exceptions) Headcount reductions occur in parallel with aggressive hiring - at the dev team level. Constant thrashing on "top projects" or "P0" management tasks which also compete with "all hands on deck" Zoom sessions to construct PPT slides for senior/exec VP level update meetings in a period of 30 mins or less.
