Pros
For the "right brand of tutor," scheduling the hours you're available to work per week is useful.
Cons
You're not guaranteed hours. You have to submit at least 10 hours of availability per week, but you may not be assigned any. Now the "Review Center Only" tutors are being forced to do live video sessions, as well as tutor in math (including basic geometry), for which many of us aren't qualified or have no practical experience. It feels like the company is pushing for forced voluntary resignations so they won't have to execute a 4th round of mass layoffs. Personal, extenuating life situations don't exclude tutors from these requirements unless those personal details are disclosed to the company...even if those details are protected. Steer clear of this company! Although Phil Cutler is (supposedly) not the CEO anymore, this organization can't get out of its own way.
