Pros

100% company paid benefits, company won't make you pay for a single thing, the tools and trucks that are provided are great, great support system in case you get your back against the wall (which WILL happen), overall good reputation in the oilfield, and a lot of friendly people.

Cons

The pay is not where it should be, (you make more in training before they move you over to salary), way too many cheifs, and not enough Indians, the training regimen could be better (there's trainers and mentors that shouldn't be either-or), seems a little cliquish at times. They don't have a policy set in place to guarantee a tech a set amount hours of sleep, so working 20 hours, going home, sleeping for 3-4 hours isn't uncommon when you're on rotation, so it made me feel like profit was more important than me. Stay away from the Permian, unless you have no love life or kids, and don't care about sleep.

Pros

• The pay is decent for sure, and there are a lot of perks with the job. Company paid insurance 100 percent for you and dependents, Performance bonuses, and other ways to make money. • Matched 401k 100 percent vested. •Create your own schedule with partner 100 days off a year. •Good group of guys work together when things get busy but your alone 60 percent of time.

Cons

Working salary and some days can get long so may take a while before the salary is in your favor. On call 24/7 during your days on. Can expect at least a few late night calls per rotation. When things get busy it can get a bit overwhelming.
