Pros

This is a hybrid position with constant check-ins to assess qualification for promotions and compensation bumps. This is a stable position with an organized employer and a great team of recruiters.

Cons

Need to have a good deal of time management, tactics to reduce burnout, and communication skills to succeed in this role. The day-to-day tasks and workload are very repetitive, so you will need to have good outlets for stress so you do not get overwhelmed or exhausted.

Pros

The staff is very helpful and inviting. There is a healthy amount of foot traffic. The GM is very kind and cares about his employees.

Cons

Not really a con because it comes with the job, but the hours are long. If you don’t sell anything it can be a bit defeating. You also don’t get paid hourly; not sure if this is standard but I was at my lat dealership.

Pros

I do not have any pros for Penske.

Cons

Their HR department does not hold their managers accountable for the abuse they are causing onto their employees. Being told to "remember to clock out" for lunch because we always have to work through our lunches is so small compared to all the other issues that occur in Penske. HR chooses not do anything to help their employees when they report something. They realistically do not care whatsoever that extreme misconduct occurs. They also don't ever care to explain the benefits that may be necessary for work/life stress balance except for one quick second at Power Up. HR does not tell you anything to set you up for success.
