Pros
Stability. Work during slow times with few lay-offs. Good benefits. Medical, dental, HSA, incentive bonus 4 weeks vacation after17 years.
Cons
Scheduled mandatory overtime created poor family/work balance. Poor maintenance of equipment. Problems were not a considered as problems by management. Little or no chance for advancement. HR has very little interaction with floor employees. Slow to resolve problems.
