Pros
-The people! I felt so supported by the entire group of Flyers while at Radio Flyer. This included my team, senior management and the relationships that were fostered by working across departments and on committees.
-The focus on personal and career development. The time spent learning about yourself, your strengths, how you collaborate on a team, how to work with your manager, understanding the business, etc... was lengthy and invaluable. The learnings promoted better habits, behaviors and relationships inside and outside the office.
-We had so much fun! When your mission is to create warm memories and make kids and families smile, what could create a better work environment!? We all individually knew how we impacted this mission and what goals we needed to achieve to do our part as a team. Radio Flyer was transparent, and I always knew how my day to day impacted the bottom line.
Cons
-Expectations on performance is high. Feedback is delivered quickly and directly, which for me was refreshing. Employees should be prepared to be held accountable. This work environment was rewarding and meant we discussed mistakes, learned from them and quickly continued the work.
