Pros
I did originally enjoy my job in the beginning and believed that I made a difference every single day regardless of the situation.
Cons
I believe the owner does care but he is to busy or unwilling to really sit down and talk to the people that really make his business prosper or not. He has the wrong people in middle management that only care about themselves and continue to blame others for their shortcomings. If the middle managers think the rules don't apply to them then how can you expect the line staff to follow the rules. They won't which is why SHG in now faced with a class action lawsuit. This company doesn't invest in its employees and this is what will make or break a company. In the 8 months I was with the company we lost 8 nurses. I agree that some needed to go but several left because of the bulling and blaming from the middle managers. I advise you to go to the NC Department of Health and Human Services and read the statement of deficiencies for each of the SHG facilities and this should speak for its self!
