This company has a very old school outlook as the CFO and the president are from Korea. Which means that silicon valley culture is forgotten. Every thing happens by Samsung Korea rules. Well why have a presence in silicon valley when the company does not want to adapt. Here are some examples: 1) Lack of women in leadership roles. Korean management would take orders from men but not women. 2) Leadership has no accountability to change the culture, they rather blame it on people who have no control over the culture. 3) Fairness lacks in every way 4) Reverse discrimination against local Koreans 5) Age discrimination exists as they want young people to work at SSI than those who bring wisdom and experience. The reason for this: they want people who can be trained into the Samsung way. The mentality is I will tell you what to do and you will do it exactly as I say. 6) If you are capable, you will get all the work and no reward. You will be treated as a slave with no upside or reward. They will only recognize you when you leave the company. Well by then it too late and the company looses in the long run.
