Pros
Household brand with image of growing company and goals to achieve greatness; impressive-looking new buildings, very low employee contribution to health benefits
Cons
The Samsung Way, quite simply, is to achieve corporate goals by any means necessary, including cheating, stealing, and harassing employees. I was suspicious when I observed the lack of cultural diversity in the company & left the company when there was clearly no respect for basic ethics. Power is held and funding/corporate investment provided to units with Korean expatriates leading the units. Korean expatriates (referred to as 'Dispatchers') by and large hold all administrative management positions as well, treat women with little respect, and show little interest in providing mentorship or path for career growth. Note: Many positive reviews are written clearly by expatriates as their English is very limited- or interns seeking a permanent job. In summary, this lack of proper treatment & trend of poor decision making is not reflective of Korea, but it is reflective of the company and The Samsung Way feels very similar to the 'good ole boys' network.
