Pros

free snacks, ticket perk, that's pretty much it

Cons

Rampant favoritism. Inept management. If you're not with the 'in' crowd it will be very difficult to make any meaningful impact or be successful here. (the 'in' crowd is mostly white males in their 30s) SeatGeek tries to make a good show of being a conscientious employer, with a culture of caring about employees, but it's nothing more than show with no substance behind it.

Pros

Perks and benefits were good

Cons

Interacting with other teams was often unpleasant. It felt as if my team was held to a higher standard when it came to interacting with other teams, who were frequently dismissive, rude or unhelpful. The culture of SeatGeek often felt like a facade; fun and exciting, but in reality, it was a very unprofessional workplace with management who couldn't keep up with executive demand. I was laid off and as part of my severance package I was "gifted" the laptop I worked with. Unfortunately, despite what HR had guaranteed, the laptop was never factory reset so it's technically still a SeatGeek laptop that I can't use because the admin profile doesn't belong to me, and trying to get the IT team to help has been a months long effort that they seem to be totally incapable of resolving. So now I'm stuck with SeatGeek company property that was abandoned with me, a former employee.
