Pros
Good starting salary and good annual bonus. All the 401k vesting now happens after only 2 years working for the company.
Cons
The company is moving back to 3 to 5 days a week working at the office. While in Siemens Industry and Healthineers they are still hiring fully remote employees with the possibility of going to the office when needed, this company is moving away from the great work-life balance that we had for four years. Annual merit increases don't keep us up with inflation. If the bonus is higher, then the merit increase is lower, and vice-versa. Management says they want to listen to us, but they don't. The building is not equipped to have all of us at the office. The office is old, and it makes you feel sad. Chairs are uncomfortable. They don't want to invest in making the office more appealing to the people, but they want to force us to be there. A lot of people changed their lives after the pandemic and we have a more manageable and happy lifestyle, we're more productive, and we collaborate with co-workers who don't even live in the same city as us. They eliminated a lot of management positions, and there's not a lot of possibility to grow. A lot of managers lost their management positions, and they got demoted last year due to the restructuring of the company. People who want to move up don't have places to go, and some managers who were demoted had to accept whatever management position that was available to them even though it wasn't what they actually wanted. They're very political, they promote lot of incompetent people just because they fit in one of the diversity and inclusion boxes and not because they actually show the great qualities of being knowledgeable, experienced, and a people person, apt to be a manager, but because they're friends with someone with power or check the mentioned box. I do not recommend this company as a long-term place to be, but only as a starter point.
