Pros

Fantastic environment. The company culture and mission are second to none, and make working here extremely rewarding. The compensation and benefits for graduate students are also fantastic. Enrolling in graduate school at this institution is incredibly rewarding in many different ways.

Cons

Classic cons of research-related fields in academia. Other cons are inherent to the graduate school experience and are not unique to St. Jude.

Pros

Strong mission, good institutional reputation, and attractive benefits package.

Cons

The hiring process felt inconsistent with the flexibility and compensation expectations communicated earlier in recruiter screening. While flexibility and work arrangement options were emphasized throughout the process, there appeared to be very limited actual flexibility once the formal offer stage began. Compensation and advancement also are heavily constrained by rigid internal structures and comparisons between existing employees, which means the growth opportunities depend more on internal hierarchy and tenure than on individual performance, experience, or market value.
