Pros

Well managed & fiscally conservative company. Big organization that has kept the small company feel. Feels like working amongst long time friends which builds a culture of employees invested in each other's as well as the company's long term success.

Cons

Decentralized buisness model has led to some inefficiency in some of the shared services, primarily HR, IT and supply chain.

Pros

Direct leader was amazing. Working together efficiently and effectively.

Cons

After dedicating 8 years to Stryker, I was extremely disappointed to learn upon separation that only 40 hours of my accrued PTO would be paid out, despite having accumulated approximately 240 hours. What is most frustrating is that this was never clearly communicated during discussions with HR regarding my departure. Had I known this policy earlier, I could have made different decisions about using my earned time off. Employees invest years of service and should have complete transparency regarding how accrued benefits are handled upon separation. I am sharing this so current employees can educate themselves on the PTO payout policy before making career decisions, as this was an unexpected and costly surprise for me.
