Pros

The culture is unmatched and accountability is great. Everyone is working towards the same goals and all want to succeed. I've been lucky to have a great boss and co-workers.

Cons

The longer hours are not always desirable but they are not set in stone. Each department is different and can be flexible.

Pros

The Connor group is a highly motivational company that hires with intention. This job has challenged me, motivated me, changed me, and molded me into being the best version of myself at all times. Performance matters, but mindset is key. How you show up, is how you’ll be recognized. This company has no problem in rewarding those who show up to succeed, and to those who are ready to face every hurdle coming their way. It is not easy- but it is a choice, and a rewarding one to say the least. The long term growth oppertunity is endless, and the business module is designed for you to succeed. If you utilize your tools, ask yourself the hard questions, take feedback AND put it into action. You’re on the right path to excellence here at the Connor group. My team is what makes me ready to show up and show out. The entire market is full of supporting, and motivational team players who are ready to see everyone’s best foot forward. As well as my managers being helping hands, setting the example , and a guiding me to ensure that I am performing at or above the Connor group level. Everyday is a new day to rise to the challenge, and continue the relentless pursuit of excellence

Cons

The company strongly advises that “this job isn’t for everyone”. And it is true, this job is not for everyone, and it is for the best of reasons. It is not just a “9-5”, it’s not a job where you clock in to clock out, and it’s not a mindless 8 hour day you get paid for. This is a job that holds you accountable when no one is watching. This is a job that requires all time motivation. And this is a job for those who strive to make a difference. Those who are passionate about their career, enjoy the work they put in and the results they create. If this is not who you are, or what you’re looking for in your next step of your career. This job is simply, not for you.

Pros

Decent pay for senior level executives

Cons

The environment is extremely intense and, at times, toxic. Goals are often unrealistic and create a culture driven more by fear and pressure than sustainable performance. Leadership frequently promotes a “win at all costs” mentality, where aggressive management styles, public criticism, and even cursing at employees can feel normalized. There is a very heavy level of micromanagement at nearly every level of leadership, leaving little room for autonomy, creativity, or innovation. Even experienced leaders are expected to follow a very rigid playbook, with minimal opportunity to implement new ideas or strategies to drive results. Accountability is heavily emphasized, which can be positive in the right environment, but it often feels one-sided. Leaders are expected to own every outcome, while upper management may shift blame or protect themselves when things go wrong. The culture can feel more political than collaborative, and turnover tends to be high because of it. Additionally, much of the performance culture appears heavily incentive-driven rather than built around genuine team development, customer experience, or long-term selling behaviors. This can create short-term results, but not always a healthy or motivating work environment. Avoid at all costs!!!!!

The Connor Group Response
4w
We disagree with the way our culture and leadership are described in this review. The Connor Group is a high-performance, high-accountability organization with ambitious goals, direct feedback and clear expectations. It can be a dramatically different environment compared to some cultures, but we have built our business around growth, ownership and results. We empower leaders to make decisions and drive results. Our leadership in the field and at our Central Support Office exists to provide additional structure and resources, not to limit autonomy. While we respect any person’s right to share feedback, this review does not reflect the culture or leadership standards we work hard to uphold every day.
