Pros

- The pay is good, the stock is great, and the benefits are good. - Great company outlook - Most people are really smart and hard working - Work/life balance ebbs and flows but on the most part is okay - Beautiful offices - Jeff is a visionary and a silver tongue which is great for motivating people. In terms of representing the company to the market, I've never seen a better CEO. - The Customer Service team is integral to the company and a great resource for product and marketing. That is probably the best team to join.

Cons

As a woman, TTD is a little like being in the movie Stepford Wives. As long as you drink the Koolaid, are always supportive, and don't really express your opinions things are lovely. If you value your voice or customer research, then this may not be the company for you. Jeff is a visionary, but also a benevolent dictator who is surrounded by yes men. Smart, white, yes men. Good ole boy culture. There is always one token women on the C-suite who starts out as the darling and then after about a year, mysteriously disappears and is replaced with the new woman of the day. Most managers are scared of Jeff and the C-Suite, and have little say into how their teams are run. Managers who speak up are let go. Most get frustrated and it ends up being taken out on their team. The culture can be quite toxic and very political, so if you come here - get ready to play the game and play it really well. Especially if you are on the Marketing team.

Pros

Good working environment and perks - good pay (bad now due to depressed stock)

Cons

The company's leadership and talent selection mechanism is pretty bad. The performance management system has literally two rating (meet / doesnt meet) - how do you identify who to promote and mentor with two ratings? there are no growth paths, objectives, etc to guide anyone career - seems like everyone works for one persons unstructured strategy. People get elevated and recruited using a haphazard mechanisms and these recruits specially at higher levels have no way of understanding talent or grooming one. Hence the company struggles to compete in a space where the worlds best organizations compete (Google, Amazon, Meta, etc.). They hire from top places but just getting a bunch of top players doesnt make a high performing team - you also need the team structure, growth paths and coaching that leads players to win. This company will keep loosing its A players - and soon may struggle to survive if things dont change.
