Pros

Awesome coworkers for young professionals. Paid licensing for a few months.

Cons

Micromanagement is out of control. Incompetent team leaders who are obsessed with power and metrics. Back to back calls, limited support, and nearly impossible effective communication between departments. Zero time to cultivate culture because you are taking calls every second of the day except for 30min/1hr lunch and two 15 minute breaks. You’re locked into your role for over a year (apprenticeship for around 60 days, then a year after promotion to associate) and your team leaders will not approve internal applications unless you are “eligible”.

Pros

Working here has been an excellent experience. The role offers meaningful responsibilities, exposure to complex matters, and opportunities to collaborate with talented colleagues. Management is supportive, and there’s a strong emphasis on professional development and proactive planning. The culture values integrity and teamwork, making it a rewarding environment for anyone looking to advance.

Cons

While the role is rewarding, the workload can be demanding during peak periods, requiring strong time management skills. Processes are still evolving as the organization formalizes procedures, so adaptability is essential. Additionally, visibility into cross-department initiatives can be limited unless you proactively seek out opportunities to connect.

Pros

Pay was competitive. Great Benefits. Worked with Incredible talent. Retirement benefits are insanely good.

Cons

The environment is characterized by a high degree of toxicity and a lack of work-life balance. Middle management prioritizes their own individual promotion tracks over employee well-being, often leading to unsustainable workloads and professional burnout. A primary concern is the performance rating system, which utilizes a rigid bell curve methodology. This structure frequently results in the alienation of hard working employees; individuals are assigned unfavorable review scores primarily to balance budgetary requirements for top-performer bonuses rather than based on merit. Once an employee is labeled with a low rating, it initiates a cycle of intense scrutiny that is nearly impossible to overcome, as the performance expectations become disproportionately high and unrealistic. This broken system has led to significant turnover, as there is a pervasive sense that being targeted for failure is inevitable. Furthermore, managers are often pressured into downgrading high-quality employee ratings to meet predetermined distribution quotas. Ultimately, the relentless accumulation of tasks and the resulting extreme stress outweigh the financial compensation, making the overall experience detrimental to one's professional and personal health.
