Pros

Hourly pay is decent (Not for what you have to do as pharmacy managers at Tier 3 or 4 stores)

Cons

Terminated easily (regardless of how minor or severe - pharmacists are dispensed like medication at Walgreen's Boots Alliance - no appreciation - no raises for pharmacists but other POS employees get a raise... lol - ridiculous) No loyalty (corporate world - no personal relationships) KPI goals (unreachable in most instances - especially in Memphis - corporate management acts like it's the pharmacy personnel not giving effort to support the company - they don't realize it's Memphis) Store managers (absolute laziest human beings at Walgreen's - specifically those that aren't pharmacists - which is most - how do they make this much money for their lack of performance and support in most cases??)

Pros

Sometimes free food and clean work environment. Most co-workers are friendly and easy to work with.

Cons

Very loud environment. If you are not training to be a pharmacy technician it is a dead-end job. Unrealistic work expectations. The Lexmark printers are slow and not very reliable. The overall network could use better reliability and faster processing speed. They will IMMEDIATELY fire you if you have poor attendance. What happened to the days of a verbal warning, then follow up with a written warning? Walgreens MFC Management will argue with you on using your own PTO. Not good cross-training in different departments. Walgreens MFC makes it difficult to change into maintenance or I.T. positions Biggest deal-breaker is the low pay $15 an hour for people working during the day shift and $16.50 for people working the night shift. Even if you have experience. It should be $18 at the minimum for people with experience. Avoid working for Walgreens MFC.
