Pros

Free lunch, do not expect restaurant quality. Food is very comparable to hospital food. Pension (only 1% * average 3 highest salaries * number of years worked). This is a nice benefit but shouldn’t sway someone to work here for a pension. It’s a very small pension benefit.

Cons

Stuck in another era. Attire is business professional with men wearing ties every day. The casual days permitted are “no ties”. Upper management doesn’t act on feedback at all. Over 90% of the company voiced in an associate survey that work from home flexibility is desired, CEO released a 6 minutes video basically stating that “company culture” is more important than work from home flexibility. The culture here is toxic. There is very little diversity. When a diversity policy was brought up to upper management, it was quickly rejected. The CEO boasts about the company financials and profits, but the employees don’t share in that (no bonuses). The company is losing associates in large numbers. The CEO made a statement along the lines of “stay with us and you’ll have a long career, it’s not a get rich quick option”

Pros

Located downtown, so very walkable. Optional pet insurance benefit is nice. They don't do layoffs, so very stable company to work for. An OK place to work at as a first job out of college. Provided daily lunch is sometimes really good.

Cons

The building has a roach infestation and they are spotted several times a month. Management tends to play favorites. One manager has been reported to HR multiple times by multiple people across many years for being too aggressive to the point several employees have had mental breakdowns, yet still retains their position. Dress code is business professional despite most never interacting with customers. No work from home at all. Company claims to be secular but very clearly has a Christian lean around Christmas time. Yearly raises do not keep up with inflation. Employees are told they are not to discuss their wages with each other, likely due to pay discrepancies between employees in the same roles.
