Pros

The company has strong financial backing (due to corporate greed) so you won't have to worry about them going under.

Cons

This company straight-up does not care about its employees. Some management cares, but the CEO is the most egotistical person I've ever met. He cares only about looking good and making rich people richer. The company is exceptionally conservative. They will dictate the length of your hair, how you dress, and anything else they can find to make you lose all sense of individuality. Only in the last few years did pantyhose stop being required by women. This company does not want you to have a work-life balance. They do not trust their employees to work from home. The general vibe and decor of the home office are dreary and sad. Many of the departments have either no windows at all, or windows only for management. If you are not mid-to-upper management you will be made to feel like a cog in the machine. Less than human. Only there to make the rich richer. PLEASE RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

Pros

Located downtown, so very walkable. Optional pet insurance benefit is nice. They don't do layoffs, so very stable company to work for. An OK place to work at as a first job out of college. Provided daily lunch is sometimes really good.

Cons

The building has a roach infestation and they are spotted several times a month. Management tends to play favorites. One manager has been reported to HR multiple times by multiple people across many years for being too aggressive to the point several employees have had mental breakdowns, yet still retains their position. Dress code is business professional despite most never interacting with customers. No work from home at all. Company claims to be secular but very clearly has a Christian lean around Christmas time. Yearly raises do not keep up with inflation. Employees are told they are not to discuss their wages with each other, likely due to pay discrepancies between employees in the same roles.
