Pros

1) in some ways there is less bureaucracy than you would expect in a firm of this size

Cons

1) The imaging side of the Company runs on the simple principle of keeping the cost structure low. Their growth is entirely in Romania where they can get 3 engineers for the price of 1 in Silicon Valley . As a result, there is no career growth in their US offices unless you can help with patent trolling (their mainstay) 2) Company is running low of revenues - look at their stock price slide in the last 12 months. Revenues are also decelerating since the most companies in the mobile imaging ecosystem (one of their main markets) are getting vertically integrated. There is no differentiation that this company can provide. 3) Management is clueless on technology. They want quick results without the need to invest for growth. Management is a bunch of fat cats who travel business class even when the company goes through tough times... 4) Management does not listen enough to their employees. All decisions get made at the highest levels without sufficient due diligence. 5) Very poorly run company with limited future. 6) There seems to be little employee enthusiasm. On any given morning in their silicon valley office, there will be less than 10% of the offices occupied. Most people are traveling, on holiday, or 'working from home'. Seems like a cemetery... 7) Their mission statements about focusing on the customer is just words. The way they treat their customers is too shocking to believe. They place very little value on their commitments.

Pros

Supportive and talented teammates, strong work-life balance, and a high level of autonomy. You’re trusted to own your work and gain meaningful, hands-on experience.

Cons

Recent leadership changes and widespread layoffs, including most of the UX and research team, significantly impacted morale and culture. Collaboration across global time zones could be challenging, and compensation was not competitive for Bay Area roles. The environment became less welcoming under new management.
