Pros

Remote, that is it it is remote nothing more.

Cons

It is salary based and billable hour based and insurance companies have crazy crazy crazy rules on what they will allow you to bill for and the pay is not good compared to other places. The training is some of the worst I have ever had and you are left to fend for yourself. Management does try to help but the mentorship is terrible the other nurses are so over worked they don’t have time to deal with training and helping you figure it out. I agree if you love work and not having a personal life this is the place for you. Reimbursement takes forever. You will come back from vacation with more work than you had when you left and there is no work life balance. It’s a shame this company has so much potential.

Pros

No pros specific to this company. Any pros are directly related to working in the position of RN Field case Manager. It's great working from home. Time in the home office is very flexible, although you are at the mercy of the injured worker for when you will be traveling to appointments. Overall very pleased with working in the field of Workers Compensation Field Case Management.

Cons

Well, let me tell ya... read the other (con) reviews and I can confirm they are not exaggerating. But, who knows, what one person may see as a con another may see as a pro? As for the positive reviews? In every company there are always the social clicks and suck ups who are treated like gold. We have them here, too. If you're a suck up who loves to work like a dog for mediocre pay you'll leave a great review, too. Sooo, if income and overall pay are not important, then Genex is a Great Place to work! If you find that getting a 0-2% annual raise in salary Indefinitely is Generous then you will love it here! Oh, do you love working overtime and getting paid less than your base hourly wage? It's True! You can get that here, too! Even better, you can work overtime and Not Get Paid for it At All! You see, overtime is considered "bonus" time. This "bonus" time is only "granted" to you if you meet other time/date/billing goals. If you don't meet these goals, which are virtually impossible to meet under most circumstances, then you don't "qualify" to earn a bonus. Don't worry, though, Genex is still getting paid for the time you worked/billed, you just aren't going to get your share. How about being Micro Managed? Do you love that, too? Then You Must apply now! You'll be smothered with more micromanagement than you could dream of! Do you long to return to the days when you needed your hand held and you always had someone telling you what to do (even when you knew how to do it better then they do)? This is the Place for You!! You're guaranteed to be treated like it's your first day as a nurse straight out of college for the duration of your career here at Genex :) Did you forget to dot that "I" or cross that "T"? The micro-management team here at Genex will send you a 5 page email detailing the importance of dotting I's and crossing T's, telling you How To dot I's and cross T's, and they will be sure to state and re-state the instructions at least 10 times so they are sure you fully understand. Isn't that nice :) And you will never have to worry about compliments going to your head, you won't be getting any of that nonsense here. If you were to get a compliment then you may believe you are doing a good job which would lead to you expecting a..a..a... salary increase! Nope, nope, nope!! We can't have any of that crazy talk here at Genex! So there you go, I put this in the Con's section but maybe it should be in the Pro's section? I personally do not appreciate being undervalued, being profited off of while I am being told I need to do more (but won't get paid for it), or being continuously treated like it's my first day after working here for over 10 years.

Pros

You get to work from home.

Cons

Everything else. No advancement opportunities. No career path. Micromanagement without any training. Pay increases are based on how close you are to the "mid point" of the range for your position which basically means no pay increase no matter how good or bad your performance is.
