Pros

ECS Team was great, talented engineers who knew a lot

Cons

Really varies by team, but as you'd expect, certain branches of the government don't have a devotion to best practices when it comes to tech. What ended up driving me away was absolutely abysmal management with the government department that had hired our contracted team. They were absolutely delusional, aggressive, and all around unpleasant. Thankfully I didn't deal with them too directly but I found them generally difficult to work with.
