Pros

There are no pros to this position, or this company, even if they try to tell you there are.

Cons

Job posting was incredibly misleading, and for the salary they were preaching they seemed to hire incompetently quickly. Got an offer the same week as my interview and thought it may have been a good opportunity. It was not. The entire company boasts a fake energy that is anything but genuine. Even throughout the onboarding meeting there were fake smiles with nothing behind them. Pay is straight up mediocre. And you have to have an “evaluation” to decide whether or not you’re eligible to receive commissions, despite the amount of work you may have already done you will not be paid for them. In addition to that, the daily rate of pay is abhorrent. You are expected to work 9 hours without a break, 6 days a week. And they promised that “sometimes” you’d get a half day on Saturday. The main premise of the job is not what the job description says. You will be taken along to an “event” to “market products,” which literally means you go to a Walmart or other shopping center to set up a booth essentially spam shoppers with useless information and products. Your main goal is to try to manipulate people (who are trying to go normally about their day, or just trying to get groceries in peace) into getting some stupid product or package that they are not interested in. This is a job in which you sell snake oil. They try and try to have a positive upbeat attitude yet they shame you tirelessly and aggressively if you can’t match their energy. I was even told not to yawn because “it drags everybody else down” and “damages productivity in an irrecoverable way.” In addition to that, once I left the company I was never paid for my time. Not. One. Cent. I am currently in the process of taking legal action because of that. Do not waste your time with this horrendous organization.

Thanks for your review. We encourage honest feedback and appreciate any constructive criticism. It’s really unfortunate you didn’t experience any pros which you could list. We work with an incredible team of people and are really proud of the culture we have created. We hope you experienced the benefits of this during your time at FPA. We apologize if there was any miscommunication or misunderstanding regarding the duties and responsibilities of the role. Depending on client and company needs, we often have positions to fill quickly, hence the speed of the process. It’s really disappointing to read your comments about fake energy and smiles. One of the things we pride ourselves on is having a great company culture. We invest a lot of time into creating a supportive, nurturing and welcoming working environment where people are encouraged to reach their potential. No one is ever expected to work without a break and if this is something you experienced we sincerely apologize. This does not reflect the standard practices at FPA. We provide direct marketing campaigns for clients in different industries. We target customers via B2B, B2C, and residential campaigns. The campaign is dependent on the product and client. We have a client portfolio containing nationally recognized brands. If you have not been compensated for sales which you completed please get in touch at: communications@frontpageagencyinc.com and we will carry out an investigation.

Pros

If you want a nontraditional sales role that is in a loud energetic environment.

Cons

Was told throughout the entire interview process with one of their team leads and with their HR manager that the role was a marketing role that would be face to face marketing with the opportunity to attend trade shows, at which you would be able to acquire your own clientelle to advance upwards and build your own book of business. All of this based on your abilities in marketing. This is completely not the case. Its a front line sales position. The people you see in costco or your local grocery store selling products of various kinds at the booth. Your progression in the company and KPI's are not at all related to marketing they are entirely sales metrics.

Pros

Good growth opportunity and comminucation

Cons

Got hired as a "Entry Level Marketing and Advertising Associate" but turned out to be a outside sales job. During interviews, they wouldn't directly answer what the day to day tasks consists of. First day on the job, they immediately hand you a script of how to sell the product, you role play then have a cult like meeting with the CEO and then after all that they drive you to an HEB grocery store and set up a booth at the entrance so you can harass customers to try to sell them products. Scam Job. The position has nothing to do with marketing. Waste of time.

We are passionate about providing opportunities for people to learn, grow and develop and it’s great to read your positive comments. We sincerely apologize if your questions were not answered directly. This is not standard procedure. We invest a lot of time into a rigorous recruitment process to ensure that we are able to thoroughly assess candidates and their suitability, but it’s also designed to allow candidates to gain a solid understanding of what we do, what the role involves and where they could potentially fit in. We appreciate you didn’t enjoy the experience at FPA, however, that does not make it a “Scam job”. We wish you the best of luck for the future.
