Pros

Strong opportunities for career growth Many people are willing to mentor and support others without expecting anything in return Supportive culture, even from people who may not know you personally Increased focus on education and development, especially for leaders More company activities at the local office, which has been a welcome change Fun associate engagement opportunities like escape rooms, art activities, games, and food events So many opportunities for recognition

Cons

There are still some areas where the company appears to be rebuilding trust and confidence Change is noticeable and appreciated, but some improvements are still in progress Feedback has clearly helped shape recent changes, and it will be good to see that progress continue

Pros

Time off, some schedule flexibility, company car (but they charge you for it - you basically are making monthly payments from your payroll for the 7-8 year ownership term of the vehicle)

Cons

Constant changes to performance ratings and goals (almost weekly) - it's deliberate action by management to make success impossible (you are set up for failure, even if you achieve 100% of your numbers), impossible workload, stress, constantly being audited by people that have never investigated anything and therefore don't know anything about the realities of the job, constant turnover of supervisors, no stability, no trust, almost everything management tells you is a lie, and finally (the worst part) - having to professionally represent a what has become a corrupt organization (my last few years were spent mostly investigating legitimate claims and harassing good customers over minor, low value claims)

Pros

GEICO stands out for its world-class training and onboarding, which gives employees a strong foundation from day one. The training programs are structured, practical, and continuously improved based on feedback, helping new hires ramp quickly and confidently. The company also offers exceptional growth and development opportunities. There are clear paths for advancement across all operational areas (Claims, Service, Sales, etc.), supported by coaching, mentorship, and leadership development programs. Employees have access to tuition assistance, certifications, and professional development resources, making it easier to build a long-term career. GEICO provides strong stability as an established industry leader, with competitive compensation and benefits. The performance-driven culture rewards results and creates opportunities for high performers to advance quickly. Another highlight is the focus on internal mobility and skill-building. Associates are encouraged to expand their capabilities, take on new challenges, and grow into leadership roles through hands-on experience and real-time coaching.

Cons

The environment is performance-driven and fast-paced, which can feel demanding at times, especially during periods of high volume or organizational change. Expectations are high, and success requires strong time management and adaptability. Hybrid/in-office expectations may vary by role and business need, which can be an adjustment depending on personal preferences.
