Pros

Competitive compensation, particularly in later stages. Regular bonuses that provided financial incentives for performance. PTO increases with tenure, including up to 20 days after several years of service. Solid benefits package, including 80/20 healthcare coverage, retirement options, and paid holidays.

Cons

No separate sick leave, forcing all time off into a single PTO bucket. Disjointed management practices and a lack of clear project oversight. Limited opportunities for career advancement despite significant tenure. Some management hires created a toxic work environment, contributing to a negative company culture. HR seemed to show favoritism towards select individuals, making it difficult to resolve internal issues. Promotions appeared to favor newer hires or those involved in mergers, rather than rewarding long-term employees.

Pros

The pay certainly is not chump change. And working with dozens and dozens of different companies is an interesting challenge that led to a great deal of learning in a very short amount of time.

Cons

Even though I was a salaried employee, every minute of my working day was required to be documented. As in I would have to enter from 8 AM to 8:05 AM what I had done to fill my time: wrote email to client, researched outstanding issue, watched this video and provide a link. And this would go on from 8 AM to 5 PM Every single day. When I was hired, I was told as long as I got my work done everything would be fine. But, nothing could’ve been further from the case. Also, the training element is so time consuming and so entirely unhelpful. The work culture looks very fun and open; like there’s a foosball table and a fridge full of beer in the office. But, I never saw a single person play a game of foosball. While we were allowed to work remotely on Friday, I was greatly frustrated by the in office requirement the rest of the week since almost 100% of the work that I did was remote from the computer I was sitting at at the office. I could’ve been at home doing the exact same thing, and experienced a lot more balance in my life, and have avoided the almost immediate burn out that this environment fosters.
