Pros

Good culture,open-door policy. Worklife balance is good, except during periods of pressure to commit

Cons

1. GiveDirectly Kenya is slowly becoming ethnic and non inclusive. Most senior and mid-level roles are now only going to two tribes. When there is a global opening, you have higher chances if you are Kikuyu or Luo..not sure if it is by design but you'd notice that if you check the organogram 2. Salaries and allowances are not competitive and equal to the work. In some roles you have to suffer to earn 3. Not very people centric as it protrays 4. Pressure to get and commit budgets sometimes overshadows the why behind a project and the mission of the organization "poverty alleviation" is completely forgotten. We want our projects to sell to donors so we can get more funding. Whether in the process we are not alleviating poverty is something we will deal with later 5. Decisions made at high level in closed doors and you are expected to just comply and implement
