Pros

When I started at the Society in 2012 they really believed in and followed their mission. I loved that it was a faith-based organization that encouraged devotional time every day. There were some outstanding long-time employees that I learned a lot from.

Cons

Over the course of the 5 years I was there, I saw fewer and fewer people in management who really cared for their employees. It was a very negative place to work and always felt like others were ready to throw you under the bus to get ahead. The way they handled the elimination of so many jobs was incomprehensible. Zero notice and cut some of the best people with no consideration for experience or who actually did the work.

Good Samaritan Response
9y
From our beginning in 1922, our mission has been steadfast: Serve the Lord every day with our hands and hearts. That has never changed. We thank you for your review, and your comments about our faith-based mission, which we hold in high regard. Not every employee experience in a company that serves more than 27,000 people each day will be the same, but we work to provide a workplace where each employee feels valued and appreciated.
