Pros

Graphcore is certainly good place to work as an engineer with a good amount of compensations. You can meet people from various backgrounds including semiconductor chip designers, hardware engineers and AI engineers. Especially, if you have a background in AI/ML, it's a great place to learn various techniques to optimize the performance of AI/ML models in various domains, including CV, NLP and even HPC. Moreover, you can improve your understanding of how AI/ML models are accelerated by different hardwares (e.g. IPU, GPU) and the pros & cons of different AI accelerators.

Cons

Though it's certainly one of the most prospective AI chip makers. there're many other competitors in the market and Graphcore's market share is still not quite large as the apparent leader's in this market. This means that there're not many companies that are specifically looking for the technical skills that you'll learn in Graphcore, such as its chip IPU and software stack including Poplar SDK.
