Pros

The people I work with personally in my groups were amazing, but all of them left already except for my hr lady.

Cons

we have no permits, so if the cops pull the rule book on you, you'll get ARRESTED and the company won't be blamed for it. Don't take this job unless you have some other source of income, you only get paid when someone signs up for a program, I worked there for a month and i never signed anyone up (they went from paying by appointments to paying by sign-ups in March). Personally, I kept having to go to the main offices for to get my check since i did not do direct deposit.

Hello. We are very concerned about your post. There seems to be a massive difference between what you speak of here and actual company policy. Our company does purchase permits where required. Most cities do not require permits for all of our employees because we are not actually selling anything, just providing individuals the opportunity to enroll into no-cost programs to lower their rate of electricity. None of our employees have ever been arrested, because they are not violating any laws, as the company is highly complicit. Also, you call yourself a "Sales Representative." We do not have any "sales representative" positions in our company. If you are a competitor, please refrain from posting reviews. If you were an employee, please reach out to us immediately so we can help address any concerns and get more feedback to understand what happened here.

Pros

Working in a team. They act like they are nice and that they care.

Cons

The compensation for the field appointment setters is completely unfair. The first day of training, they only wanted to pay me for 5 hours of training, even though, I was there for about 6 hours of training, which is against the law. Secondly, they force you to travel far away from your home and work in a team where they set the hours, but they don't want to pay you. I think that is against the law. I believe that if they tell you where and when to work, then they are required to pay you at least minimum wage. If they were fair, they would pay min. wage plus commission, but they don't. Plus, the appointment setters who work in the field, only get paid if someone else closes the deal. That is completely not fair. Let's say I set 20 appointments and no one closes the deal, then I get paid nothing. NOT FAIR. Plus, they hide the fact that they are a solar company. Why are they hiding that fact and pretending they are something else. I used to work for another solar company where I set appointments for them. They paid me $14/hour plus commissions and bonuses. Now, that company was fair. They seem to hire people who don't know anything about sales and take advantage of their ignorance. The appointment setters don't know they are being taken advantage of and they don't have to put up with such an unfair compensation. I would recommend anyone who wants to work for Greenspire to call other solar companies and find out what they pay their appointment setters, before agreeing to work for Greenspire. You have options. You don't have to put up with working for an unfair company. Another bad thing is they want you to show up for every appointment you set as well and not get paid for that. Ridiculously unfair! Unbelievable.

Pros

There are great employees and it can be fun to work there. That is the only pro.

Cons

This company DOES NOT care about its employees. I was at a meeting with the C.E.O. present, and he was incredibly rude the employees there. Also, if you are not successful, and sometimes even if you are, the broken pay structure will leave you with no money when you need it. This job is purely commission based. Don't let them fool you with the stipend. The stipend is BARELY enough to do the job period, but doesn't cover food, bills, or spending money. DO NOT take a job with this horrible company unless you have a solid backup plan or back up income. They will let you drown in your bills and not lose any sleep over it. They will have you work easily over 40 hours a week. I was even forced to deal with work on my days off constantly.
