Pros

If you are considering enhancing your career at HSABank .....Read this post carefully and.....Seriously PLEASE re-evaluate your job opportunities!. (Read prior HSA glassdoor.com posts for additional reference and substantiation of this review.)

Cons

At HSA Bank the turnover rate is exhausting. When you join HSA this will be your first sign that perhaps YOU did not make the best career decision. BUT that is a scab that will fester as you start working 16 hour days and expected to work weekends too. New Hire Advice: When negotiating salary....ask for at least 75 percent more than your expectation. This will at least provide you a faux equitable cushion for compromising your personal life. ADVICE: Please Take Caution on your next career decision with HSA Bank!

Pros

Fullfilling the word count minimum requirement for this field

Cons

1. Culture - it's difficult to fully explain how terrible the company culture is to people who have not experienced it. But let me try. Cross functional team engagement and collaboration does not exisit (see number 2 for a potential reason why). In addition, there are pockets of what I believe warrants an extremely hostile work environment (both from the parent bank and at HSAB). The CEO often lacks emotional control, and men throughout the company (mainly within sales management) make hilariously outdated, inappropriate comments towards women coworkers. 2. Supreme idiocracy at all levels of the bank, but heavily concentracted in the sales management team. There are some newer memebers of the executive team who are smart. 3. Extreme disrespect for personal time, including holidays, weekends, etc

Pros

1. PTO is generous 2. Flexible working hours 3. Free parking near downtown

Cons

1. Poor communication from CIO and respective IT Leadership 2. Within IT/PMO/DevOps, there is not an environment of trust or open communication 3. Passive IT environment - negative assumptions without proactively checking out. 4. If you disagree with CIO, it is hard to have a future here. 5. Career pathing is absence in IT nor is it even talked about. 6. Investment in talent in IT does not exist 7. Its more of a do your job atmosphere vs a thank you in IT. This starts at the top in IT 8. Cutting edge Technology, Devops, Innovation does not exist. 9. Poor performers and individuals that are toxic are not dealt with 10. Pay is a bit lower than industry standards 11. The Agile environment at HSABank is not Agile 12. Strategy and Value not aligned with Intake funnel to IT 13. Transparency across IT and rest of Org lacking 14. CIO lacks people and relationship skills 15. Based on previous Glass Door entries/reviews over the past 4 years or so, it appears as though not much has changed to improve environment. Too bad.
