Pros

- You will learn a lot, not because there's a great training program or engaged management when you're hired but because you're literally thrown into the deep end and expected to swim from the first day.

Cons

Literally everything: - LAUGHABLY low salaries, so far below industry standard and a JOKE for NYC - Terrible and expensive benefits - No overtime, but expected to work late every night and come in early every day - Little to no perks/appreciation from upper management - Raises are non-existent and promotions are title changes with barely any pay boost - offices are poorly designed with little storage and people are on top of each other, you will literally brush elbows with the person next to you -HR is TERRIBLE, and it doesn't surprise me at all that they would make a bunch of fake positive reviews - If there's a positive review on here, it's fake - HUGE turnover rate, had at least 2 people leave every single month I worked there - Useless meetings - Disgusting quarterly meetings where the ongoing success of the company is discussed while at the same time you get told that there's not enough money to give you a raise this year. BS - HR LITERALLY PAID FOR POSITIVE REVIEW ON THIS SITE

Pros

Their health insurance is decent.

Cons

Required to work very late nights and some weekends on a regular basis. No real work/life balance. Meetings overload. 6am meetings to present line. Huge turnover with massive layoffs regularly. Known, for over a decade, as one of the worst fashion companies to work for. (and G-III) Poor compensation for the workload. I have over 20 years experience as a designer in fashion in NYC and this company lives up to its horrible reputation.

Pros

-for the most part they let you dress as you are, dyed hair and all that... -u will learn many categories at once - denim/outerwear/active/knits etc -you do move up quickly (mostly because of high turnover) -the Haddads themselves are actually nice (though you don't really interact with them much)

Cons

1st off BRIBERY! HR had the audacity to send emails out to current employees asking them to review the company and email a screenshot of the review to potentially win a $50 gift card!! SERIOUSLY?? This removes anonymity so they will only receive overly positive reviews! NOTICE HOW MANY POSITIVE REVIEWS FROM NOV 17th 2016??? exactly... -condescending directors - they treat you like you are incompetent - a lot of micro managing -workload/sample handling is a lot with unrealistic goals -tedious and outdated systems with too much room for human error -too much emphasis put on fluff things and forced participation to "increase morale' which does the opposite -people move up TOO quickly due to high turnover (more than 3 people quit within my 1st 3 months) - some of the higher ups (who gained their roles within a few yrs or so) do not know what they are doing and put a lot of pressure on their teams to ensure they are perceived well to impress the Haddads/CPO -most everyone is right out of school or have been then for 25 yrs. not a lot of communication/help cause no one knows how things were done/should be done (blind leading the blind) -pay isnt the best - insurance sucks! and is pricey -makes you sign a non-compete even as an assistant! and it limits you alot for jobs in nyc afterward -there are alot of projects where you are not given a definitive deadline until like 2 days before, they are just like "oh just work on it as we go"...then all of a sudden its "we need this by noon!" unless you want to do childrenswear as a career and just need to start anywhere i say pass
