Pros

Coworkers were the best part of the job. The CEO was fantastic, and it was great to be a part of his company, in the beginning, when he was more involved. But as he stepped back, and let new senior management come in, the environment became volatile. Interesting product and great customer base to work with. Harvey Tool recently implemented SalesForce, which is a great tool for tracking sales activity, and was very helpful to manage my territory sales and team activity on call campaigns, end user outreach, etc.

Cons

Would be expected to work more than 40 hours, but not allowed to claim overtime, or harshly scrutinized for it, even as a Manager. Upper management so focused on KPIs, could not see any value in activity unless it drives a number. As a Sales Manager, I was once asked by Management "why I was answering the phone?" My job description was never defined as the roles and needs of the company changed. So all of a sudden, things that I used to be reviewed positively about by previous managers, turned into criticisms without me knowing how my job expectations had changed.

Pros

I loved working with colleagues that were about the same age. The culture, in that aspect, was great. Most got along, with just a couple outliers. Free coffee was a bonus, and the president is an amazing man! I liked that you could catch him walking through the office, and he'd always make time to talk.

Cons

The president was always a big culture believer. Our culture was amazing when I first started, but plummeted once a couple of upper management employees were hired. Upper management was a joke. They started blatantly disregarding our workload and were told, "There isn't too much work, you just need to work harder." This was said to a team of 3, when the same work load used to be shared by 8. HR completely blows you off if you're not a team lead or management. For example: A coworker complained about their team lead. This team lead was deliberately singling this person out, was rude, and was disrespectful. Another lead requested to take the employee back to their team. The employee was constantly pushed aside for an entire year, until they quit.

"Fast-paced environment at a growing company"

Pros

This company has grown and grown over the past few years. To me, this is one of its biggest pros, especially because it allows employees to grow their skills quickly. I am still finding new opportunities available to me and new projects that challenge me. The leadership team is very involved and have a lot of good outside experience. This is a fast-paced environment at a growing company, and if you're willing to work hard and take on new responsibilities, you'll get a good experience out of it.

Cons

At times, the workload can be high but it's always recognized and appreciated.
