Pros

Some advisors are very intelligent and fun to work with. Learned plenty from those who have built solid books. Work-life balance is what you make of it; plenty of people mess around the entire day while others who focus on doing real work leave on time.

Cons

Extremely political, way too much power given to those who have no business managing people. Management turns a blind eye to employee turnover. Plenty of fancy titles to go around in corporate but no work of practical value to show for it.

Pros

There are no pros at HighTower. The best part of HighTower is when you quit cause its so terrible.

Cons

Management actively pumps fake reviews into glassdoor, its an internal initiative. Look at some of the glowing reviews and the dates, you will see a pattern. What a mess this place is, if you don't believe it then look at how they didn't go public when they thought they would. They are barely staying afloat, lucky for them some sucker pumped in a capital injection. The board needs to clean house starting with the C level execs

Pros

This is a good place to start if you want to get your foot in the door.

Cons

Upper level management is terrible and are not held accountable for their actions. This is not the place to be if you value being treated like a human being. Yes, if you walk around the office everyone is smiling and seems to be happy but the reality is that most people are miserable. They hold monthly meetings for employees to speak freely in an open forum but ignore the fact that there are serious problems - under staffed and over managed. It's rare people stay over 2 years, and not because they are lazy, but because everyone is working around the clock and get tired of being treated poorly.
