Pros

There are some pros, but not many. My personal manager is great and he fosters such a fun team but this only exists within our small team.

Cons

I am compelled to share my extremely dissatisfying experience working for Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), a company that has undergone a very dismal transformation in the past year. The management decisions and the overall work environment have deteriorated to such an extent that it is no longer a professional and enjoyable place to work. One of the most significant issues is the arbitrary return-to-office policy, which seems to be enforced selectively. Some employees are being forced back into the office, while others are allowed to continue working remotely without any clear rationale. This lack of consistency and transparency in decision-making has created a sense of unfairness and resentment among the workforce. The introduction of new leadership has unfortunately not brought the positive changes one might hope for. Instead, the company has become disorganized and chaotic under their watch. Critical processes and communication channels have broken down, contributing to an atmosphere of confusion and frustration. The worst aspect of HFC's current state is the toxic mentality of the upper leadership. There is a prevailing boomer mentality that dismisses the value of diversity, mental health, and workplace flexibility. This outdated mindset not only mitigates any innovation but also creates an unhealthy work culture that fails to keep pace with the evolving needs and expectations of a modern workforce. Furthermore, the blatant disregard for mental health and flexibility is deeply concerning. The leadership team seems oblivious to the toll their decisions are taking on employee well-being. The insistence on a rigid return-to-office policy, coupled with a lack of support for mental health, sends a clear message that employee welfare is NOT a priority. The workplace has turned into a toxic, tattletale high school environment. Instead of fostering a professional atmosphere, employees are preoccupied with navigating a web of office politics and backstabbing. The lack of leadership in addressing this issue has allowed this negative culture to thrive, where trust and collaboration no longer exists. Home Franchise Concepts is no longer the workplace it once was. The disorganized state, toxic leadership mentality, and disregard for employee well-being have created an environment that is far from conducive to professional growth and satisfaction. As an employee, I would caution anyone considering joining HFC to carefully weigh the potential drawbacks before committing to a position within this company.

Pros

Stocked Kitchen. The company is growing and its a nice place to work for other than the internal IT TPT Team. The implementation partner, the recruiting agency etc have been nice. The overall company outlook looked promising after it was acquired by JM Family

Cons

The TPT team in IT is very toxic. The duo together try to harass the folks. Dirty Politics. New ideas and talented people aren't welcomed. Beware - dont even think of joining this team. Your life will be miserable. I am pretty confident that the next joinees will suffer the same way unless the management addresses those team members. FYI - Bringing it to the notice of the HR / Leadership did not help either.

Pros

stocked fridge with sodas, lacroix and coffee machine Laid back office environment Catered lunches every so often Good pay

Cons

CIO is extremely scatterbrained and isnt consistent with what he asks. Coworkers always complain that he doesnt even know what he is wanting and changes his mind mid-sentence. To appease him, you must be able to read his mind, and when you dont, he has no issues firing people. Very difficult to work with.
