      Great learning opportunities but too much politics

      Pros

      Great CPE and technical support on accounting and auditing topics Fast pace - you're not stuck working on 1 section of the BS/IS for weeks or months Audit and Tax departments are completely segregated

      Cons

      Majority of clients are NFP Poor management skills from managers and partners Job selections, promotions and job evaluations are biased Absolutely no work/life balance Work long hours for low pay Not enough time to complete audit assignments Staff turnover is too high Too much in-house fighting among colleagues

      Pros

      Decent office location and some very nice coworkers made it bearable.

      No work/life balance. No work hours flexibility. Blatant favoritism.

      Bad Environment for Audit Admin

      Pros

      The company is hybrid/remote depending on the situation/person. At a certain point this position becomes muscle memory and you don't really have to think about what you're doing.

      Cons

      Partners and associates alike treat the audit staff like they are disposable. HR is rude and condescending. If audit admin make a mistake it is the end of the world, but if higher ups make a mistake it's just a "woopsie". They act like you need to kiss the ground they walk on. Management is not great. Their training program is frustrating and not properly carried out, so when the trainee seems to be taking a little longer to pick up the material than they expect they are belittled and talked down to. Audit Admin do not stick around for very long. The turnaround for this job is known and the company has not made changes to hold onto their audit admin staff.
