Pros

Awesome industry leading products. Good snack and drink selections.

Cons

Chris Hylen (CEO). He came in and immediately rubbed people the wrong way, while hiding under the excuse that he's "introverted". He is arrogant, and does not have experience in security. It was pretty obvious that within the first year of his tenure that people did not like him when more than half the executive and upper level management left. He tries to pretend he cares about employees and then afterwards asks them to write positive reviews on Glassdoor because he knows his reputation is bad. I was laid off in January after he sold the company to a private equity company. He tried to sell everyone on why it was better for the company, but it was more obvious that he was just stuffing his pockets because he got a $15 million bonus as a result of the sale. Most of the great people were either laid off or left because he ruined the culture of the company. He also later revealed that he had been negotiating the sale of the company since Day 2 of his job there.

Pros

Many good people still putting in the hours. Most of the technologies are still very relevant and heading in the right directions

Cons

Where do you start? The company is being run by the boys club, who only care for themselves. Cutting down people and getting promoted for the vanity of your own ego is the rule of the day. Promoting or hiring those who know how to fluff your feathers in the right way and feed those hungry egos. Reorganise the business, spent countless millions on Consultants, jam it down everyone’s throats, then turn around 6 months later and basically move things back to the way they were. Great stuff. “Radically transparent” business only to have the greatest tin ear, never listen to staff, field managers, customers or partners. More concerned about a high NPS. Staff are openly admonished in forums for not giving the right answer or questioning decisions. So, no one says anything. Asking middle managers and staff to buy into change and new programs, burning endless hours trying to contribute. Then all of that thrown out as decisions have already been made. Management team cringing at the sight of having to speak and interact with the minions is the best. Even customer engagements by management aren’t part of the brief now. Off-sites and extravagant meetings in faraway places are the call of the day for the management team to pat each other on the back. Politics at all levels reigns supreme, people who are not in touch with the regime are white anted and cut down. Great people have left the business and attrition is now accepted as “if they don’t like it, who cares”

Pros

- You get your paycheck on time, well not your commissions you'll need to track those within a separate spreadsheet and check it against the internal system because they are ALWAYS incorrect.

Cons

- Layoffs, reorgs, outright firings. - Lack of company leadership or direction - A credo is only a list of words if you dont take action against it. - Our technology is quickly falling behind - They laid off people that loved Imperva, that lived and breathed the mission, vision and goals. - We continue to miss our numbers, we remain inconsistent in corporate and industry messaging.
