Pros

There are some people that truly want to do great work. They are strategic and have the ability to take the business to the next level.

Cons

The same people that are innovative and strategic are treated poorly and taken advantage of. At Infineon, there are multiple cultures across the business due to acquisitions, and sitting in HR you're subject to the top-down cultures that prevail (unfortunately). As someone in HR, you're expected to shut up and do your job as you're told. If you have ideas, if you speak up or if you try to influence change, you're scapegoated. The HR org is the absolute worst with their hypocritical LinkedIn posts about how great the team is; only if you drink the kool-aid. The HRBP leads are demeaning and blame the service center when something is wrong but issues are never resolved, meeting after meeting. They don't know policy and they gaslight you when you speak up to address the real work that needs to be done. There is a reason the turnover is high in HR and it's the incessant need to stroke its own ego. The HR structure changes every year without a direction and without people in place who can be leaders. There is no career advancement in HR because the model changes.

Dear employee, Thank you for sharing so openly what you experience during your time at Infineon and we are sad to hear that it's not to your liking. We are keen on delivering an excellent employee experience and we are sorry that you do not feel that way. We also want to create a working environment that is free from prejudices. It should offer equal opportunities for everyone and we are invested in meeting each other eye-to-eye, working independently, while valuing a self-driven attitude. By doing so, we can establish a good working environment. The experiences you have made do not comply with our standards and are not supported by any means. This is why we would like to get in touch with you to tackle these issues. We acknowledge that there is always room for improvement. Therefore please address career@infineon.com. We hope that your time at Infineon will change for the better and that you stay a part of our team. Best regards, Infineon Career Team

Pros

Culture, work life balance (but declining), supportive colleagues, you can get an amazing manager

Cons

The care the company has for it's people in the U.S. has declined significantly in the past year. Many employees are no longer happy with the company. Employees were forced to take two weeks off with very little notice with no pay, bonuses were short of expectations, contractors have been forgotten about with no room to join the company as permanent employees, the company is forcing a return to office with a minimum of 3 days a week (even for those who were hired under different impressions), career opportunities are far and wide. Infineon was such a great company to work for and it's sad to see it go down.

Pros

Long time workers are replaced by "best cost" workers in other countries. The focus is on US and other higher cost labor countries. Cheaper workers means less losses of profit for the company.

Cons

Infineon is banking on far less experienced new workers and assume they can quickky perform to the same level as long time experienced laid off employees. This has already failed at this company recently, yet it is being repeated, and customers, internal and external know this. It will be years before new hired trainees know what they are doing and longer if the company is to perform as well as it did years ago. The company feels like a sinking ship and employees not laid off are looking elsewhere. Nobody wants to work for a company that has clearly demonstrated it does not value its employees.
