The culture is bad for mental health

Pros

The team members that you work with are amazing humans and you will make lasting friendships in the pit. The new office is nice and within walking distance of many different activities and restaurants.

Cons

Culture is not present at all. If you are not one of the original employees hired you are just a place filler to boost the social media appearance that Innovien is an amazing company. It's very unfortunate because you are sold on the job during your interview - within three months you start to see all the management and structural issues come to life. There are so many issues under the surface that rear their ugly head yet management turns a blind eye because they can never do any wrong. There is absolutely no accountability for the owners of the company.

We encourage our team members to maintain a strong work ethic and adapt to overcoming obstacles, as it is this “hustle” mentality that often drives success. We also understand that a “hustle culture” is not for everyone, which is why we try to be as transparent as possible throughout our interview and onboarding process about what it takes to be successful here. As we hire young professionals out of college, there will be some people who learn that it is not the kind of environment that is a fit for them. We really do appreciate your feedback and ideas and wish you the best in your next role.

Pros

If you’re seeing this review, DO NOT take it lightly. Senior leadership writes their own positive reviews for a higher rating and deletes bad reviews. What you can expect to find here: - Working 12hrs per day with no extra pay - “Leadership” who’s only prior leadership experience is being in a sorority - Acting like a robot and staring at your computer all day - Managers who micromanage everything you do - Work outings that are sometimes fun, but you are expected to go to no matter what - Constant turnover because managers speak harshly to you and de-value you - Completely number/quota based - Being completely burned out everyday

Cons

What you won’t find here: - Non-toxic work environment - Senior leadership who cares about your wellbeing - Supportive and friendly culture - You won’t find another soul who truly enjoys their job (if you work here, you’ll see what I’m talking about 3-5months into the job) - Work-life balance, senior leadership does not believe in this

We are very diligent in our interview and expectation-setting process to be as clear and upfront as possible about our expectations and the level of work that will be necessary to achieve the goals that individuals communicate to us. It is not a light load, but we believe we offer an opportunity for young professionals to build a professional and financial career here that is rare in the sales industry. It is unfortunate to hear your perception that we do not value our employees. We believe we have created a culture that encourages growth and team camaraderie and rewards performance. We have built multiple incentive programs, comp structures, parental policies, and reward systems. I also encourage individuals to reach out to our employees to gain real insight and feedback on our culture from those in the role. 52% percent of our current staff has been here longer than three years, and 83% has been here longer than a year.

Pros

The people - the internal recruiter, Operations team, pit of recruiters, and most account managers are the best people you'll ever meet. Management overworks them & takes all of them for granted.

Cons

They know what they're doing hiring people who are straight out of college. They take advantage of your work ethic & go-getter attitude and drain you of any passion you had. When things go wrong with candidates/accounts, you will always be to blame. Management doesn't take accountability or make changes when things don't seem to be working.

We are extremely transparent with how we work with employees who are underperforming by setting clear expectations about what needs to improve and giving them ample time to make changes to get back on track. As we hire professionals straight out of college, we understand that we may not always find the perfect match of individuals who will thrive and find happiness in the kind of competitive and high-expectation environment that may be new to them as they have not yet had the opportunity to experience different kinds of companies, environments, and roles.
