Pros

Incredible year-end bonuses with a fun "Bonus Day" party; Small company, works to make people feel appreciated with birthday events and whatnot; Some members of management are very kind and friendly;

Cons

ZERO DIVERSITY. It's a boys club among the engineers and a white woman's club among the marketing/admit staff; No real training before being thrown into work; Really terrible office hierarchy that gives petty people too much power; The office is pretty much divided between the engineers and the administrative/marketing staff; Real elitist mentality among the engineers; A lot of gossip and petty behavior among the administrative/marketing staff; Have to navigate awful office politics, like adult "cliques" that can jeopardize your job if you are not accepted by them. Basically, the people who have been there the longest decide who they do and don't like, and will find an excuse to get rid of the people they don't like. Not a lot of room for growth; Zero accountability, no one admits when they make mistakes, so if you do accept responsibility for something, you are risking your job. You are forced to tiptoe around the unreasonable requests of the upper managing VPs

Pros

-Generous bonus structure when the company as a very profitable year. -Great company to land at as an experienced consultant, expert, engineer, architect, construction manager, etc. -Talented and experienced consultants -Small, family-like group

Cons

-Very high health insurance premiums for HDP for families (premium was $800-$850 per month while I was there with $4000 deductible and $8000 max out-of-pocket); single coverage was completely covered. -As mentioned in another review, there's essentially no on-boarding process for new-hires -No designated mentor to train entry-level consultants -Workaholic, cut-throat culture of you either sink or swim; expectation was that you stayed until at least 6 pm regardless of billability; must be careful to avoid burnout -Work-life balance where all work was done in the office (no laptop provided) -Takes a long time to accrue more PTO and 5 or 6 years until 401k is fully vested and 2 years for any vesting at all; both are far below industry standard
