Where to beginnn. If you aren't a middle-aged white guy who knows how to crack dad jokes, run. Upper management / directors favor people that fit their boys club vibe. For a company that preaches about removing toxicity from the workplace, it's shocking how out of touch they are. Inventing reasons to fire employees, especially when they give their two weeks. Letting managers go with hardly any notice. Making sweet hosts and barbacks cry, talking poorly about their employees out in the open for other employees to hear. Women in both BOH and FOH are put through the ringer. The misogyny is unreal. Hourly POC and queer employees are few and far between, and none of us last very long. Over the years I've worked at two different locations, and both had the most rancid vibes. It feels like all the directors hate themselves and their jobs and they walk around spreading negative, hostile energy that brings down the team. They're the problem. I think they're in the wrong industry. It's called hospitality, not hostility, babes. Would I recommend working for this company? Absolutely not. There are no hours. The money isn't good, the teams are in shambles because turnover is so high. With restaurants closing, this company feels like a sinking ship. Call it karma.
