Great company overall

Pros

Many opportunities for career advancements. Large company which can allow you to move internationally or to different industries. Work with great colleagues who will become your close friends.

Cons

Longer than average hours. Work is demanding and the pressure is high at times. The pay is lower than what you would get if you leave the firm. On the other hand, you can use the firm as a platform and always be able to find a better paying 9-5 job if that's for you.

Douchebags

Pros

There are definitely 00 pros.

Cons

Worked for these douchebags for about 3 years. One of the partners did his best to get me fired when I refused to cover up his affair with one of the directors on the team. My performance reviews went from excellent to needs a lot of improvement real quick. Had to go to multiple meetings so I wouldn't be fired and I refused to quit. Only left when I left to go to law school. What a bunch of losers.

Pros

KPMG has competitive benefits, salary rates, and work/life balance. Additionally, I felt like I was treated fairly by managers during the year end review process and always felt as if I was putting out high-quality, sufficiently reviewed work. They place an emphasis on societal contribution and offer great training opportunities. In the IT Audit (Risk Assurance) field, they encourage and will pay for personnel to get relevant certifications. Finally, there is a relatively transparent path through the organization, especially from the Associate to Director level.

Cons

Workload can be demanding at times, also as you progress through your career (specifically as experienced associate or senior associate) you will end up managing new college hires which can present problems in some scenarios.
