Management - extreme negligence

Pros

The children are the best part about this place. Most of the lead teachers are wonderful individuals exploited by poor leaders.

Cons

The management team at this facility have extremely poor leadership skills. The majority of the staff make minimum wage, overworked and the phony owner pays regular rate even when working OT. Failure to provide training/orientation for new staff. Once hired, you are expected to just know what to do. If you do make a mistake, the owner is quick to throw you under the bus. Owner fails to hold herself accountable for her poor leadership skills causing direct harm to her business. Management fails to address child's behavior and special needs concerns with parents as a means for saving face while neglecting the needs of the children and a stressed out staff. There is absolutely no room for growth or advancement at this facility. Try another program if you wish to learn.

Pros

The children are amazing, so are the parents and co teachers. I love how the classes flow and how ready the children are to learn.

Cons

We almost never got our ten minute breaks, I was thrown into being a float teacher without anyone asking me if that was okay and they took me out of my primary classroom. I put my notice in as I was moving and gave them 2 Months notice, in my final two weeks they treated me terribly. This work environment is incredibly manipulative, if you call out sick they get mad at you for putting them in a bind but legally you can’t work while sick. I was once throwing up and my boss said “well do you have a fever” I do not recommend working here at all. It broke my heart to leave, but I felt so relieved when I did because this job broke my spirit. They also went against covid-19 Guidelines constantly.

Corporate atmosphere

Pros

Many managers are supportive, helpful, and in your corner. Leadership can be open to new ideas & different opinions. Corporate employees enjoy some fun events, such as a nice holiday party, etc.

Cons

Corporate atmosphere needlessly rigid in areas that have little impact on job performance, etc. The dress code, for example, is highly strict - even for employees that have no contact with customers. There is no option to work from home, regardless of the circumstances. If you have a slight cold, your options are to take one of your alloted days off or to go in anyway.
