The Shelter Manager is a tyrant and doesn’t even have a degree or training to work with shelter animals. She’s a bully and should have been fired years ago.
Rewarding work, in that you help the animals in need. Decent pay. Somewhat flexible schedule for those with young children.
Cons
The organization is non profit, so there is a LOT of work, for very little pay. There also didn't seem to be an understanding of burnout, compassion fatigue, or proper work life balance.
