Thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate the time you dedicated to providing language support and the important role you played in serving clients. We understand that scheduling changes, call volume, and the nature of certain assignments can be challenging, and we continuously review our practices and resources to best support interpreters in their work. As an independent contractor engaged through a partner, we encourage you to share specific concerns regarding scheduling or compensation directly with your hiring agency, as they are best positioned to address those matters. We value the contributions you made and wish you continued success in your professional journey.

Poorly designed training

Pros

Easy application through another labor placement agency

Cons

1. As titled, very poorly designed training which shows how much they don't care about their employees. 2. You have to purchase your own equipment for work. 3. They do have some restrictions on what technology or equipment (i.e. a specific brand of cell phone), but the recruiter told me there was no restrictions. 4. Remote jobs like this list being home as one of the pros, but you have to pay for the electricity and the equipment wear and tear without any compensation. You can't even write it off the tax return under current tax regulations. 5. The break policies don't seem to consider the health hazard that could be caused by wearing headsets for long hours. There should be microbreaks built in the schedule to avoid occupational health issues. Maybe that's why they don't hire anybody from California because the labor laws tend to be stricter there. This rating/review is only about the mandatory training that the company provides. However, based on the quality of the training, I don't anticipate that this company will care much about its employees.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your perspective and understand that training is a critical part of the employee experience. We continually evaluate and refine our training programs to ensure they are effective, engaging, and supportive of our employees’ success. Regarding equipment and technology requirements, we strive to provide clear guidelines upfront to prevent any misunderstandings. It is unfortunate there may be miscommunication during your hiring process. We also recognize the importance of work-life balance and employee well-being. While our scheduling policies are designed to align with business needs, we understand the value of microbreaks and they are available. We appreciate your input and will continue to work towards improving the employee experience. If you would like to provide additional details or discuss your concerns further, we encourage you to reach out to us directly.
