Pros

It looks great on paper- "partnership" opportunities, VP, SVP, MD career track, above average office space and a sales pitch suggesting that the organization is a private bank desired by Buy Side and Sell Side executives alike for their personal financial management.

Cons

It's all simply untrue. Lenox is n insurance agency that bills itself as a "wealth management" organization. IT'S NOT TRUE. Their broker dealer is Mass Mutual- a life insurance company. Feel free to back check it on the finra website. They try and run the place like a trading firm- in by 7am(??) until 6pm every day....to SELL INSURANCE! Please don't be fooled. A handful of people do well there- and they are all long term insurance sales people. Lenox is not the real deal. They want to be- but they fall dramatically short in delivery. They are, however, very proud of themselves- which has made them the laughing stock of real wall street firms.

Pros

Can't think of a pro. This is an insurance agency run by insurance agents. You can do the math.

Cons

Being that this is an insurance agency they will do whatever they can to manipulate, exaggerate or omit what happens here. They pretend to be "wealth managers", but they are not. They sell whole life insurance and DI policies. If that's your bag- I'm sure you can find a shop with less nonsense. If you actually came from a Wall Street background I'd just look elsewhere. They strut around their office as kings of their own personal universe- which is as funny as it sounds.

Lenox Advisors Response

We appreciate candid feedback from former and current employees. More contemporary communication avenues like Glassdoor have not always been a core part of our focus. So, while we realize this is a much delayed response, your feedback was recently brought to our attention and we recognize it certainly deserves a response. While these are strong feelings, we hope that in your time with us you came forward to share these thoughts. We strive to provide the best experience for our employees, because that in turn helps us provide the best experience for our clients. We are proud of having many employees with tenures well in excess of ten years and who have grown professionally within the organization during their tenure. Here's some detailed information about how we approach things: 1. We are managed by an Operating Committee of both senior leaders and junior managers to represent the mosaic of age, gender, ethnicities, and backgrounds of our employees, advisors and clients. 2. Our Operating Committee continually surveys employees, advisors, peers, and clients to gauge our culture, processes, policies and benefits to measure satisfaction, success and improvements that may be needed. We’re proud to note that Lenox has been listed as a “Great Place to Work” in 2017, 2018, and 2019 based on our employees’ response to Fortune’s annual survey. Lenox Advisors operates in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment, and we're thrilled with our teams' and partners’ abilities to collaboratively meet the needs of our employees and clients. If you’re interviewing with us soon, or looking at Lenox as a partner, we look forward to answering any questions with more details specific to your needs. To the person who left this original review, we hope you provided us the opportunity as an organization to address your concerns while you were here because we value our employees’ perspectives and strive to provide a professional environment for all.

Pros

I cannot think of any

Cons

When I started working there, they hired a consultant to fix the low morale in the company. He was paid a pretty penny I am sure. It is now eight years later and the place is still the same. That is so sad.
