The BEST retailer I have worked for

Pros

Levi's not only treats their employees great, they also have great standards too! My favorite part about working there was participating in a monthly service project and getting paid for my hour of volunteer work. They care about the community, recycling, the LGBTQ+ community, HIV/AIDS awareness, and so much more!

Cons

Typical retail cons; working holidays, weekends, and nights. Busy season is usually when you want to vacation or be with family (summer and holidays).

Pros

Pay is above market, great company brand, good performance resulting in great bonuses, generally nice people.

Cons

Great place to work if you don’t want to be held accountable for performance. Managers are either good do-ers who were promoted but with no leadership skills, or they are high-priced consultants who wanted an easier life so they came “in-house”. Don’t bother going to HR for anything. You get the “not my job” run-around, which is especially frustrating since they are most useless HR function I’ve ever worked with. The only positive for them is that they are still better than IT.

Pros

401K match Great sustainability and community programs 20% discount off food Commuter benefits Free (mediocre) coffee

Cons

None of the middle and executive management know how to be a leader or care about their employees, what they have to say, and what they can contribute. Expect to feel ignored and inadequate with what you say and what ideas you have unless you're from HBS. It's the elite club there and they walk around with their nose up in the air and think they know more and are better than you. Difficult to get promoted unless you have an aggressive personality.
