Pros

If you are someone who believes in a herd mentality, is a "yes" person by nature and able to survive in a highly dysfunctional environment thanks to a sr. mgt. team who cares more about their bonus' than anything else, this is definitely the place for you!!

Cons

Too many to mention. Here's a brief list: low moral in most every department, weak and vengeful management, yearly firings and layoffs by mgt. decided by emotion. Very high turnover. Low pay and low salary increases.

Pros

Work/life balance is decent. Outside of work hours, you are generally not needed or bothered.

Cons

Too many "old timers" who are in positions just because they've been there for years. They contribute nothing useful to the company and hinder new employee performance. Company does not like to plan for things. We get screwed because management doesn't listen to us and will not plan for issues. Then an issue happens and it is all hands on deck to rectify the problem--even new product development gets halted. Good ideas from younger engineers are squashed by the "seasoned managers". Give us a chance, a lot of us have good ideas. Technology is getting outdated. Testing Laboratory has equipment, but it's never the newest stuff and certain tests have to be hacked together. Priorities shift by the hour. Today's hot issue will require 100% engagement, then tomorrow it's not even a blip on the radar. Any non director/manager/VP level position seems to be underpaid. Bonuses are weak. Top performers in the group get 3%, actually it seems like almost everyone got 3%. Profit sharing is alright. No stock options since it is a private company. Compensation is weak. We feel undervalued.

Pros

They let me work over 6000 hours of un compensated overtime. They let me earn 13 patents should have been many more. They gave me the Harold Leviton Innovation award in 2011. I got to engineer and manage over 500 tooling projects and put all those products into production. Was the only person that worked for Leviton that could do product design for Injection molding, Die Casting and Sheet metal design as well as design all the production tooling to make these products. Got to spend $67,000 of my wages to purchase the design software I needed to do all this work, I sold a new truck of mine so I could purchase Mold Flow software to solve the Cat 6 spring problem. I solved this issue and this saved Leviton over 26,000,000 million dollars and still counting. I never failed to get the job done. Every personnel review I received I got exceeds expectations.

Cons

Despite what you read above they said they no longer need someone myself that can do all of that. No reason given. And thanks for that last bonus of $1000.00 after taxes this didn't even pay half of the support cost's for Solid Works.
