      Great coworkers, unprofessional leadership

      Pros

      The company has a great vision and a very promising business model. It is driven by very talented individuals in many functions, and has some very hard-working people executing on that vision. Employees work together to execute tough tasks. There is great teamwork on display.

      Cons

      The workplace is becoming worryingly dysfunctional. Politics at the top has filtered down into the rest of the organization, leading to an unhappy work environment for many members of our team. Micromanagement is everywhere. Many leaders do not trust their employees to execute. Employees are often blamed when things don't go according to plan, and leaders seem unwilling to accept feedback. Benefits are not particularly good.

      Pros

      In the prior review, he or she commented the wheels are coming off the bus. While I do think the previous post is well-intentioned, it belies a bigger issue at hand, as it implies we are capable of operating a bus. I do not think we are capable of operating a TV projector without incessant political infighting on who gets credit for plugging it into the wall (of course brand gets credit as TV projectors are on brand). It’s safe to say or rather unsafe to say, Lyric is more toxic than Chernobyl (great series btw).

      Cons

      The only people less trustworthy than our dozen plus Vice Presidents are the unscrupulous co-founders (Andrew & Joe).

      Pros

      Since our HR team quit, it's now very easy to abuse our unlimited PTO policy. Good work life / balance.

      Cons

      Employees distrust founders and leaders. Culture has gone downhill. People are jumping ship. No transparency about decisions. Not progressing.
