Pros

- beautiful office space and working environment - some cool co-workers - great place to learn and be very busy

Cons

- has got a fair share of selfish and angry employees, watch your back, don't trust your manager - work environment can be unprofessional - promise one thing, deliver another. they lured me with the promise of a certain bonus and didn't even come close...every year there was another excuse (ie our fund didn't do as expected, you make more than your peers, etc...) - some clients said they'd never do business with Marathon again, this concerned me and is why I left

High turnover, toxic work environment

Pros

Overall good brand name. That said, Marathon is scraping by because of first mover’s advantage having been founded decades ago, but their funds are mostly underperforming.

Cons

Everyone tiptoes / falls in line according to Bruce / CEO’s mood that day. Small pockets of good people but mostly toxic environment. Falling behind because top management is full of yes men. Teams are very siloed. Turnover has been very high. Analysts are leaving left and right. You can get paid more with greater job mobility and work life balance elsewhere.
